HGO in conjunction with Ambergreen has developed an automated process for setting performance benchmarks in relation to cost, staff inputs, outputs and outcomes. This uses data from the SPLS and is currently being developed into a more complete performance benchmarking tool by using data from the Client Record Form and the Outcomes Framework.
As a complementary service HGO and Ambergreen have developed a tool which enables Authorities to use the benchmarks to assess individual service performance and produce Word reports on services. This is referred to as the Service Comparison Tool.
