All Authorities and many service providers are having to come to terms with a radical change in the way that social care and support services are delivered as personal budgets are introduced across the board.
HGO is committed to making personal budgets work for housing-related support service users.
HGO has worked with Oldham, one of the Individual Budget pilot sites, to ensure that access to SP services is fully integrated into the Individual Budget process for social care clients.
This has involved developing housing related support domains in the Resource Allocation System (RAS), a scoring protocol for the RAS, a financial modelling tool to assist in budget management, and process for evaluating the impact of PBs.
HGO is interested in working with other Authorities to build on these developments.
